Course Overview
This regulated ½-day training course offers a nationally recognised Level 1 FAA Award and qualification.
The course equips participants with the required knowledge to recognise a suspected mental health condition. It can be delivered in person at your venue, at one of our designated training locations or online. It raises awareness of mental health conditions, stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health issues. It also teaches participants the skills to start a conversation, how to support them both in and out of the workplace and be able to signpost a person towards professional help.
Please note: Participants will not be taught how to diagnose or treat mental health conditions, as this can only be carried out by professionals who have the appropriate knowledge, experience and qualifications.
Target Group
The regulated course is suitable for anybody wanting to increase their knowledge of Mental Health conditions to help support themselves, colleagues, and others in the workplace and community.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of the training, the participant will be able to:
- Recognise a suspected mental health condition
- Understand mental health conditions and the stigma surrounding them
- Start a supportive conversation about mental health
- Support individuals both in and out of the workplace
- Signpost a person towards professional help
