First Aid for Youth Mental Health: 1-Day
RQF Level 2 Award
Course Overview
This regulated one-day training course offers a nationally recognised Level 2 FAA Award and Qualification. The course can be delivered in person at your venue, at one of our designated training locations or online. Supported by a comprehensive course manual, it equips participants with a range of practical tools, strategies, and techniques to create a supportive environment and confidently facilitate positive conversations about mental health.
The course has been designed with children and young people in mind, covering areas such as stress, anxiety, self-harm, eating disorders and bullying, and will provide the knowledge and skills to identify a potential mental health condition. It also teaches you the skills to start a supportive conversation and how to signpost a young person towards professional help.
Please note: Participants will not be taught how to diagnose or treat mental health conditions, as this can only be carried out by professionals who have the appropriate knowledge, experience and qualifications.
